On September 11, 2026, I will lead an interactive webinar workshop for the Humanistic Management Network titled “Diagnosing and Reimagining the Business School.”
Despite more than three decades of calls for reform, business schools continue to face fundamental questions about their purpose, values, assumptions, forms of knowledge, and relationship to society. The webinar will examine whether emerging conceptual tools can help move the discussion beyond recurring critique toward more substantive institutional transformation.
The session will bring together Humanistic Management and the Five-Dimensional Metatheory (5D) to examine the foundations of the contemporary business school. Using the dimensions of ontology, epistemology, axiology, methodology, and teleology, participants will explore how business schools understand reality, define valid knowledge, prioritize values, organize teaching and inquiry, and conceptualize their broader purpose.
Rather than offering a predetermined model of reform, the webinar is designed as an interactive working session. Participants will be invited to diagnose tensions within existing business-school models and consider what a more coherent, humanistic, and socially responsive institution might look like.
The online event is hosted by the Humanistic Management Network, a global network that promotes economic activity and business practice grounded in unconditional respect for the dignity of life.
